(ANNUAL MEETING)

The "FLERE LAG STEVNE": Five bygdelags convene for a joint stevne every year at the beginning of August at a location in the Midwest (the majority of the members of all five lags live in the Midwest). The stevne features: Tour, Genealogy Research, Cultural Programs, Entertainment, Banquet, Lag Membership Meetings

The lags participating are Gudbrandsdalslaget, Nord Hedmark og Hedemarken Lag, Romerikslaget, Solørlag, and Trønderlag.

FLERE LAG STEVNE

ITS CALLED THE "FLERE LAG STEVNE" AS MANY (5) LAGS (Trønderlag of America, Gudbrandsdal, and Nord Hedmark og Hedemarken, Romerikslaget, Solørlag) JOIN TOGETHER TO HOLD THIS ANNUAL MEETING. Many years ago each lag (organization) held their own stevne before they realized they could share in overall costs, invite a broader range of speakers, attract quality vendors, etc.

THE STEVNE NEEDS YOUR HELP.

Are you willing to volunteer some time and talent at the Stevne?
 We can use some help with a variety of tasks at the Stevne: spend an hour or two assisting in the Hospitality Room, take photos of Stevne activities, work at the Trønderlag membership table and perhaps things we haven't thought of yet. Please contact any of our offices, for more information about our needs.

The Willmar Conference Center is connected to the Best Western Plus Hotel.
A complimentary hot breakfast is included with the room for guests of Best Western Plus Willmar.
 
ROOM RESERVATIONS:
The Flere Lag Stevne Steering Committee (FLSSC) has contracted with the Best Western Hotel Plus for a block of rooms for Stevne guests.   The rooms available in the room block are a mix of both single/double and king and queen options

The Flere Lag room rate is $129.99/night + tax (run of house)

The Flere Lag block includes:
*10 rooms on Monday night 8/5/2024
*60 rooms on Tuesday 8/6/2024
*60 rooms on Wednesday 8/7/2024
*60 rooms on Wednesday 8/8/2024 (checking out Friday 8/9/2024)

Other Hotel Details

We need your help:- We have minimum spending requirements at this conference hotel and pay fairly significant contractual  penalties if not "enough" attendees stay at the hotel. It helps us significantly if our out-of-town attendees choose to stay at the hotel rather than booking hotel rooms off-site. It’s not required, of course, and every member should make a decision that works best for them.  If we meet those requirements, the lags can avoid fairly significant contractual penalties.
